FAMONDO is a multicultural family card game of 65 illustrated cards. Each player builds a family from around the world: the goal is to gather cards covering all 5 continents in front of you, including at least one Parent, one Child and one Animal. It exists as a physical game (pre-order) and as a free mobile app.
FAMONDO plays with 2 to 6 players, ages 6 and up. A game lasts about 20 minutes, which makes it as suitable for a weeknight as for a large family gathering.
You win by making a FAMONDO: having face-up cards in front of you covering 5 different continents, including at least one Parent, one Child and one Animal, then calling out “FAMONDO!”. The Special cards — Adoption, Broom, Alarm Failure and Umbrella — let you speed up your own family or slow down everyone else's.
Yes. Cards are recognised by their illustrations and by their continent colour, so no reading is required. The rules also include a simplified version without Special cards, ideal for the youngest players.
